What a day! Today was so much fun. And so much work. And so cold,BRRRRR! I don't know how the weatherman missed the forecast so bad. It was a nice day- if you are a penguin. Me and Ms. Liz spent half the day shiveri
ng. The wind made it really cold. But, despite all that, it was so much fun! We want to say thank you to all the people who came out. It was really nice meeting all of you. And a big THANK YOU to everyone who so generously donated to the Joshua Fund. The kickoff was a rousing success! With as much fun as it all was, it was really tiring, too. We got there at about 8:30 and didn't leave until 5. I slept the whole way home. Mr. Bill fed me when we got home. I ate and fell right back to sleep. Mr. Bill told me I need to get used to it. I think a contract renegotiation is warranted!

I always tell everyone about all the dogs and puppies Mr. Bill goes to the shelter and saves. Yesterday Ms. Liz got in on the act. She rescued seven little 10 day old puppies who don't have their mommy anymore. Ms. Liz said that she is a stray and she just left without taking her babies. I don't know why she did that; but, at least Ms. Liz and her volunteers know how to bottle feed babies. They all make me so proud.

Tomorrow Mr. Bill. Ms. Liz and Dusty are going to Charlotte to join Team Laila in the cancer walk for dogs. I want to go, but, Mr. Bill is worried that it might be too much for me after being out at the park all day today. He wants to see how I feel tomorrow. He is worried that I might be too sore from all the walking today. I really hope I wake up feeling good. I think it will be lots of fun to go. Ms. Liz suggested they put me in a wagon. I have three perfectly good legs to get me to where I need to go. I will let everyone know if I go. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Joshua's Blog 4/26/12

Okay everybody, I got the scoop as to what's going on with Mr. Bill's shelter pull. He's at it again! Today Mr. Bill and Ms. Pam went to the shelter and rescuer four great pyrenees/ border collie mixes. They were born on Valentine's Day and are just huge. The other four will be going to the Charlotte Humane Society, but, I'll get to that later. He also brought back a littl
e boxer mix girl that was found on the side of the road in the rain last week. She is really cute and really small. Tomorrow, he is going back to get six more little ones. He says they are really cute, too. And tomorrow, I get to go with him and visit all my friends there! I can't wait! Now for the really cool part. On Monday he will be going back to get 14 more- and they are all going to the Charlotte Humane Society! He is so cool for doing that!

Please don't anybody forget that we will be at Bark in the Park on Saturday. I really hope to meet some of my fans and supporters there. Remember, it goes 10-4 and they are calling for some beautiful weather. Come on out and see us!

Joshua's Blog 4/25/12

I DID IT! I GRADUATED! Tonight was our last beginner training class. I am so happy. Next week I get to start the intermediate class. I don't know if Mr. Bill will be there or not. He may not be able to. They gave me a diploma tonight that says I completed the beginner's class. Mr. Bill didn't get one. I thought he did really good; not as good as me, but, good. Maybe they d
idn't think so.
Today I overheard Mr. Bill talking on the phone. I think he is getting ready to go to the shelter and get more puppies. I don't know how many but, I think he is going on Friday. I will keep my ears open and I will keep everyone updated as I find things out.

Don't forget about Bark in the Park this Saturday. It is being held at Rural Hill. It is 10-4, rain or shine. This will be the biggest event that I have been to yet. I can't wait to see everyone there!

Joshua's Blog 4/22/12

What a day and what a weekend! Let me start by saying that today's weather was nice only if you are a duck, a fish or an idiot. It rained almost all afternoon in Locust. I feel sorry for Ms. Holly. She put so much into her opening and it rained. It didn't dampen the spirits of the people that attended but, there weren't many people there. Her new building is really nice. W
e were very honored to be a part of the grand opening. We even adopted out one of my friends there!

At PetSmart yesterday four of my friends went to their new homes. Add that to the four that went to their homes on Friday and that makes nine this weekend! I don't know how they do it but, I am really glad they do. Last year the Kreitzer's did 125 adoptions for the whole year. Ms. Liz does not have the exact number yet but, we are over 70 so far this year and it is only April. I am so proud of everyone in the organization- especially the foster families. Without them there is no way that number would be so high.

We have a busy week ahead here at the rescue. Tomorrow, Wednesday and Friday there are volunteers coming to do work. Thursday night is the monthly board meeting. Tomorrow my new friend Suzie goes to the vet for a check up and to get her blood work done. If everything is okay she will have her pictures put up on the website so everyone can see how beautiful she is. My last puppy class is Wednesday. Ms. Sharon told me that despite Mr. Bill I should graduate! That is so cool. We are going to sign up for the intermediate class next. Me, Ms. Sharon and Ms. Liz think it will be good for Mr. Bill since he did so well in the puppy classes.

Joshua's Blog 4/20/12

Nobody told me that being a mascot and a spokespuppy is so much work. Mr. Bill told me this afternoon that my presence has been requested at the adoption event in Locust on Sunday. So, by popular demand, I will be at the event! Remember, it is at 203 S. Central in Locust. We are celebrating the Grand Opening of the Tails of Hope Animal Rescue's new adoption facility. It is
1-4. There will be lots of animals for adoption and a lot of fun to be had by all!

And on a really happy note, my mom went to her new home today! She looked so happy with her new person. It made me so proud of Mr. Bill. I guess he isn't all bad; but, if I only had thumbs he'd be sorry when I got my paws on a super-soaker!

Joshua's Blog 4/19/12

HE DID IT TO ME AGAIN!!! That Mr. Bill is just as evil as those vile cats! He gave me a bath again today and HE TRIED TO DROWN ME!!! He said I was stinky and I needed to get cleaned up to go to the event today. I thought he was going to use that really nice smelling waterless shampoo. NOOO- he had to stick me in the bath tub and soak me down. He lathered me up twice. He even
washed my FACE! He knows how much I hate that. He thinks he is being funny. I just know it. I don't know how and I don't know when but, somehow, someway, I will get even for these baths he insists that I need.

Now, on to the important stuff. My first event was so much fun today. I enjoyed meeting everyone in Founder's Hall. I didn't know that there are so many people out there that enjoy reading my blog. I really enjoyed meeting each and every one of you. The best part of today, though, was when we got home. Somebody submitted an application to adopt my mom. She is going to her new furever home tomorrow! I am SO happy for her!!! That means my whole family now has their own homes. That is sooo awesome.

Not only is my mom going home tomorrow but, there are three more of my friends that will be going to their new homes. One even went home tonight. It is so nice seeing so many of the foster dogs and pups moving on to their new homes. I am so proud of Ms. Liz and Mr. Bill and all of their volunteers.

There will be two adoption events this weekend. The first is Saturday at the Concord PetSmart. It will be the usual 11-3. The second one is Sunday. They are helping the Tails of Hope Rescue celebrate the Grand Opening of their new adoption facility in Locust. They are really excited about that. A group called Kitty City will also be there. I just can't imagine anyone wanting a whole city full of kitties. Makes no sense to me. Anyway, that event goes 1-4 at 203 S. Central Locust, NC 28097. And remember, my next event will be at Bark at the Park next Saturday, April 28th, in Rural Hill.

Joshua's Blog 4/18/12

Ok, who can tell me what planet cats are from? There is no way that those evil, scheming and vile creatures are from this world! There are 3 cats here at Mr. Bill's and Ms. Liz's house. There are two I see all the time and one I have never seen. The two that I always see I see one at a time. Today, they plotted, they schemed, they... Ambushed me!!! I was sniffing one and the
other came out of nowhere and pounced me. It really scared me. Then, it made this hideous growling noise and started hissing. And when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it fluffed all of it's fur up and started slapping me with it's paw. Then the other one joined in! They had me pinned in a corner and wouldn't let me out. Mr. Bill heard it all and didn't even come to help. He just kept yelling "Joshua, come. Come here, Josh". Does he not realize that I would have if I could have? When they finally let me go I ran down the stairs just as fast as I could. Halfway down, I passed Ms. Liz and Mr. Bill. And do you know what they did? They laughed. I aws up there scared for my life, AND THEY THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY!!!. I don't know who's worse- them or those vile cats.

On a lighter note, we got the results of Dusty's tests from the vet today. Dusty is going to be okay! The one tumor was a mast cell tumor; but, Dr. Amat feels confident he got it all. The other tumors were all benign, We just need to watch him and make sure he doesn't get any other bumps. Every body here is so happy that it was good news.

One last thing- remember tomorrow I will be with Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz at Founder's Hall for an adoption event. This will be my first event. I can't wait to see everyone!

4/17/12

Please, do NOT shoot the messenger; or, in this case, the spokespuppy. I told everyone I would be back last night with an update on Dusty. I am sorry that did not happen. Dusty did go back to the vet to get his stitches removed. However, the results from the biopsies were not back yet. Poor Ms. Liz was a wreck. She is really worried about the old guy.

The other reason I wasn't on last night is Mr. Bill went to Georgia to pick up a very beautiful dog. Her owners took her to a kill shelter 4 years after they adopted her from the Kreitzers. He got home really late last night. It sure took him an awful long time. He was gone for over 8 hours and he went a little over 400 miles. When me and Mr. Bill watch the races they race for 500 miles in half that time. I think I will have to see if I can get him one of those race cars, or race trucks, for Christmas. Then he could make those trips a lot faster.

The dog he picked up is named Suzie. She is a beautiful blue-merle great dane/ catahoula mix. She was originally adopted when she was 10 weeks old. Did I say she is really pretty? She doesn't know what to think about things at the rescue yet. I keep trying to get her to play, but, she hasn't settled in yet. When she does, I think she will be a lot of fun.

Three dogs went to get spayed today. Daisy Mae, Meka and Belle all went to the spay/ neuter clinic in Charlotte. Tonight, a really nice family came over to look at a few of the dogs and they decided that they want Belle! They will come back and pick her up on Friday. Everybody wants her to heal for a few days from her surgery.

There are other puppies going home this week, too. Both Alice and Whippoorwill will be going to their new homes on Thursday. In addition to Belle, Downey will be going to his new home on Friday. I don't know how they keep finding homes for so many of my friends. It just amazes me.

Finally, don't forget about the event on Thursday! I will be with Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz at the big event in Founder's Hall in Uptown Charlotte. The event is 11:30-1:30. I am so excited to finally be able to go to my first event. I can't wait to meet everyone!

4/15/12

Hello everyone! It's Joshua- Cabarrus County's favorite spokespuppy! Mr. Bill told me not to say that, but, I just couldn't help myself. It has been such an amazing weekend. A perfect way to cap off an equally amazi
ng week. We have sent puppies to their new "furever" homes everyday since Wednesday, including today! A total of 12 have gone to home in that span. All I can say is... WOW!

We have to give a big THANK YOU to our friends at Stewart-Haas Racing. THANKS UNCLE TONY!!! It seems that someone from there saw the condition of the metal pans in one of our 3 tier cages that we use to house puppies. They were in really bad shape. They were recessed and each cage took two pans. They were really uncomfortable. Well, I don't know who came up with the idea, but, the new ones are so nice! They are all one piece and very easy to clean. They are so shiny and they won't rust. The guys over at the shop have our sincere thanks and gratitude. They are amazing!

April's puppies that were born last Wednesday continue to thrive. They are getting bigger and stronger every day.

Tomorrow, Mr. Bill will be going all the way to Athens, GA to pick up a dog that they adopted back in 2008 that was turned into the shelter down there. Her name used to be Topenga, but, now her name is Siouxie. Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz were so mad when they found out what her owners did. I am just really happy that they can go get her.

One more thing before I go. My friend and top dog Dusty goes to the vet tomorrow to get his stitches out from where he had his tumors removed. Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz will also get the lab results to find out how serious the tumors were. We are all keeping our toes crossed that he will be okay. I will be back tomorrow night to let everyone know how both the appointment and Mr. Bill's road trip go.

4/13/12

Hello everybody! As my Aunt Robin calls me, it's the J-man here with what's new today. It has been a truly amazing week here for the rescue. In the last three days seven of my friends have been sent to their new furever homes! Mr. Bill has approved applications for two more that will be going to their homes tomorrow. That is even before they get to the adoption event! Everyb
ody is amazed at how many adoptions we have done so far this year. We hope to have a count next week.

The rescue did get some sad news today. A shelter in Georgia called today and told Mr. Bill that someone who adopted one of our puppies back in 2008 dropped that poor girl at the shelter. That made him really mad. I won't even repeat what he said. He and Ms. Liz are working hard to see what they can do to get her out of that shelter and back here where she will be safe.

This morning Mr. Bill put me and a bunch of my friends out in the yard to go potty and play. It was a very nice morning, all bright and sunny. And then it sounded like the sky was falling! All the dogs around me stopped what they were doing and looked straight up. I ran and stood underneath my friend Gretchen. Then, as fast as the sound started, it stopped. A few minutes later it happened again. And again. I think Mr. Bill was hiding and watching us because he opened the back door laughing. He called us in and we all ran in. He said it was the cars up at ZMax on the drag strip. If that's what race cars sound like, I don't think I like them anymore. They sound scary.

Now, time for announcements. Our available puppies will be at the PetCo on Mallard Creek Church Rd next to Trader Joes tomorrow 11-3. Please stop by and see them. Bark in the Park is two weeks from tomorrow at Rural Hill. Plan on coming out with your dog(s) for a day of fun. I will be there to play and just hang out. For everyone who works in Uptown, don't forget about the Animal Expo in Founder's Hall on Thursday, April 19th. I will be making my event debut there. I can't wait- I am sooo excited!

April's puppies are now two days old. They are doing very well and are really cute.

That's about all for today. I need to thank my Aunt Robin for inviting me over to play with Jasmine and Twitch the other night. I had a lot of fun. Mr. Bill told me I was asleep before we even got to the end of the street. I was really tired. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will be back soon to let everyone know how the adoption event goes.

4/12/12

Hello Everybody! Joshua here. I hope everyone is having a good week. Mine went downhill in a hurry. Last night our newest momma dog, April, had her puppies. I was so excited and couldn't wait to do my spokespuppy
duty and tell everyone all about it- but, I fell asleep and slept through the whole thing. Ms. Liz was so excited about the babies she told everyone about it.

I was really tired last night. Mr. Bill let all the dogs out to play outside for a really long time yesterday. The weather was really nice. Not too hot and not too cold. Just like today. Anyway, after playing all day, me and Mr. Bill had to go to puppy training class. What a disaster that was.

Last night's topic was grooming. Ms. Sharon teaches that class all wrong. She had Mr. Bill stick his fingers in my ears with this white, fluffy thing. First it tickled, then it hurt. I was beginning to think he was looking for potatoes or something in there. But, that was the good part compared to what came next. Ms. Sharon grabbed me and shoved a brush in my mouth. She said something about having to brush my teeth. She soon found out that trying to catch a fish bare handed is easier than trying to hold on to a three legged dog. I can move and twist in ways she never imagined!

The only good thing is I didn't have to get a bath. We talked about them, but, that's it. Ms. Sharon said I should need one about every 6-8 weeks or so. Mr. Bill told me if I keep peeing in my crate I will get one soon. My crate has stayed dry since he told me that. He sure knows how to take the fun out of things.

4/8/2012

HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY!!! What a long and wonderful week we have had here at the rescue. Things have been really busy. In fact, they have been so busy I have not had time to make the big announcement Mr. Bill told me I could make. So, we are going to make the announcement here, first thing.

After talking with many people and getting lots of opinions, Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz came to a decision regarding my future. Then, Mr. Bill came and spoke to me. He told me that they want very much for me to stay and be a permanent part of the rescue. He also said that unlike the other free-loading fuzzheads in the house, I would have a job. A very important job with lots of responsibilities and duties to perform.

First of all, I would become the spokespuppy for the rescue. "Joshua's Blog" will become more of a regular feature on our facebook page. I will keep everyone updated on what is happening in the rescue, upcoming events and, of course, I will write about my adventures and experiences.

Mr. Bill said we will be undergoing some extensive training for about the next year. He wants me to become a therapy dog so that I can go to some really cool places. He said I could go to schools and hospitals to see kids that have been hurt really bad, or born with birth defects like me. I could also go see adults that have been hurt and see people in retirement homes.
I will also start going to special events. Mr. Bill says that they will eventually get me fitted for a special donation vest. They want me to start collecting donations for a new special project called the Joshua Fund. They want to be able to help more puppies that are born with birth defects or victims of really bad abuse or accidents. According to Mr. Bill they have helped others in the past, but, none quite like me and they think I would make the perfect ambassador.

After thinking long and hard about it, I made a decision. It wasn't easy. Everybody knows that I would have no problem finding a home where I could just play and nap all day. My food and water bowls would always be full and I wouldn't have to do anything. But, then I thought about poor Mr. Bill. I think he really could use a lot of extensive training. He forgets a lot of stuff. And, I think having a job would be a lot of fun, especially if I was able to help others. So, I have decided to stay!!!

With all that said, I need to give a shout out to some one who says they are my #1 fan, Ms. Dee. Her daughter Rebekah adopted her puppy, Brinley, from the Kreitzer's. They say she is a wonderful girl. Well, Ms. Dee says that she reads my blog all the time. She finds it funny, entertaining and, most of all, inspirational. With a fan like that, how could I turn down the job Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz have for me?

Now, for a quick update on the rescue. It was a really awesome weekend for adoptions. Homes were found for 10 of my friends! Mr. Bill also said that he has 6 or 7 more applications to process, too. We are all hoping that a few more can go home soon.

I hope that everyone has a great week. Remember to stop back often. No one really knows for sure just when I might throw a paragraph or two on my blog page. And, I almost forgot- I will be making my event debut at the adoption fair being held in Founder's Hall in Uptown on April 19th. I know that might be hard for a lot of people to attend, so, the next event I will be at is Bark at the Park on April 28th. That is an event that everyone can bring their dogs to and have a fun time. We hope to see a lot of people there. I will also give reminders as it gets closer.
Well that's all! See ya'all soon!

4-2-12

Happy Monday Everybody!

Today was a really good day. Dusty went to the vet and had his surgery today. They removed a large mast cell tumor from his chest, a cyst from his back and another small tumor from his hip. They also removed one from around one of his teeth. The vet things his prognosis is good, but, we will know more when the reports come back from the lab in a cou
ple of weeks. Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz are much happier tonight, now that the surgery is over and he is okay. I am really happy, too. He is the top dog around here and he has taught me so much.

The weekend was a lot of fun, too. Three cheers for all the volunteers and foster parents at PetSmart this weekend. They sent home 5 more of my friends. That is so awesome! I get so excited when they tell me they have found homes for my friends. That means they are closer to going and rescuing more!

Saturday night there was a special event at Witherspoon Hall @ UNCC for the puppies. They even took me! The students there are getting ready for some big exams and they are getting really stressed out. Some of the students and Ms. Liz thought it would be fun to take some puppies over to play with the students for a while. Me, my mom and 5 other puppies all went. It was a lot of fun until my mom got loose and decided it would be fun to go run around in the woods. I have no idea what she was thinking.

On Sunday a nice lady brought us another mama dog and babies. She is really pretty. Her babies were only 4 days old. They are really tiny. Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz took them all staight to a new foster home. They are really excited about all the foster homes they have.

Mr. Bill told me to let everyone know to watch for a special announcement later this week. He said this is really important and I get to make the announcement. I have no idea what it is, but, if I know Mr. Bill it will be something exciting!

Good night for now, talk to you soon. Woof, Joshua

3/29/2012

I don't get it. I am sure everyone saw me and Mr. Bill on the news tonight. I am also sure everyone saw the clip where I was sitting and Mr. Bill gave me a treat. If he remembered then, how in the world did he forget last night at class? All I got was "Good Boy". Talk about getting gyped. Ms. Liz and Ms. Sharon were right- he IS going to need more work than me in those classes.

I hope evryone enjoyed seeing us on TV. It really was a lot of fun. As soon as the story aired Mr. Bill's cell phone started ringing and ringing with people telling him they saw us. I don't think I've ever seen him smile that much. And Ms. Liz was so happy she cried. Then I peed in my crate. After that, she wasn't so happy anymore. At least not with me, anyway.

Please keep my friend Dusty in your prayers. He is the oldest and the top dog here at the rescue. He came all the way from Arizona with Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz when they moved here to North Carolina back in 2001. He went to the vet today because he has some sort of mass on his belly. They aren't sure what it is, so he has to go and have a surgery to have it taken off. I told him that I would go there with him so he won't be scared.

3/28/12

Today was the most exciting day ever! I am going to on TV! Me! A star! It is so exciting! Mr. Bill took me to the shelter in Lincolnton to see my friends there. When we got there somebody from the news was there waiting for me and Mr. Bill to get there. He was doing a story on the the shelter cutting their euthanasia rate by 25%. Ms. Lisa told him all about me and Mr. Bill so he waited until we got there! It was really exciting! We will be on WSOC news tomorrow. He didn't say which one, he just said the story would air tomorrow. Mr. Bill said he will DVR all of the news to make sure we can see ourselves. I can't wait!

It was really nice seeing all my old friends there, too. It was really nice seeing Ms. Lisa and Ms. Tish. They were so nice to me when I was there when I was little and before Mr. Bill came and rescued me and my family. They were really surprised by how well I am getting around and by how big I am getting. Ms. Lisa even said that I still have puppy breath. I think that's because I gave her lots and lots of kisses. Mr. Bill said he will take me back again sometime so that I can visit again.

Tonight we had puppy training again. Mr. Bill made me walk all over the store. Then, for no reason he would tell me to sit. When I did all he did was say "Good Boy". He didn't even give me a treat. So after a while I just quit sitting. I can't believe in a week he forgot that when he tells me to sit and I sit, I get a treat. I think Ms. Sharon was right about him- he's going to need a lot of work!

That's all for now. Don't forget to watch me in TV debut tomorrow on WSOC-TV.

I am going to be a star!

3/24/2012

Hello everyone! It's Joshua. I hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend. Things here are exciting as usual. Today was another successful adoption day at PetSmart in Concord. There were three adoptions today. That is so awesome! That is also really good because we need to make room in the rescue.

Yesterday Mr. Bill went to Lincolnton and freed 20 more friends. And Ms. Liz found foster homes for all of them! I am so grateful to both Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz and ALL of their friends and foster families for all the lives they are saving. It is amazing work that everyone is doing. Ms. Liz made all the foster homes goodie bags with Blue dawn, toys and treats. She told me that she usually puts puppy pads in their bag too, but we don't have any left. She also told me that she gave her last bottle of the blue dawn to the foster family. I was so excited. That means I don't have to take a bath anytime soon. If you have any extra puppy pads or dawn I know Ms. Liz would be so happy.

I was supposed to go with Mr. Bill yesterday to visit my old friends there, but, there wasn't room in the car for me with everyone he brought back. He said that maybe we will take a special ride out there, just him and me, to go see everyone. That will be so cool.

Mr. Bill and I have been working on our training together. I think I am doing better than he is. No matter what we do I get way more treats than he does. He told me I have way too much energy. He told me that when he tells to me to sit I need to sit and count to seven. I told him I can't until he teaches me how to count. He wasn't humored. He also wasn't humored when he discovered I switched his shampoo. Oops. Ya can't win 'em all.

I will be back soon. I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend. And don't forget to tell all your friends to come see us if they are looking for a great puppy or dog!

3/21/2012

Hello everybody! I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I am! Tonight I started puppy training class. It was so much fun. Ms. Sharon told me I did a great job. We were able to get Mr. Bill to sit and do "watch me" in the first lesson. I was even able to get him to give me treats. Ms. Sharon says that he is smarter than anyone figured. I don't know about that though. When we got home Mr. Bill closed my foot in the door. I have no idea what he was thinking or doing, but, he sure wasn't paying any attention to me! I can only imagine what it would have been like if I'd had all 4 feet.

Last night I had a lot of fun, too. Mr. Bill put a bunch of us outside and it started raining! It was so much fun running and playing in the mud. There were some flashes of light that lit up the whole yard just like it was day time. That was really cool. But then, there was a really loud crashing, rumbling sound from the sky. There was one that i didn't think would ever stop. They were kinda scary.

Ms. Liz is working on recruiting more foster homes again. There are a lot of puppies in the shelter again that need to get out. Mr. Bill is going to go on Friday to get some of them. He is going to take me back with him so I can visit all my old friends there. I can't wait to see Ms. Lisa. She made sure that Mr. Bill saw me when I was there. If she hadn't done that then Mr. Bill would have never seen me and ... I don't even want to think about that. She is a really nice lady that tries so hard to get as many out as she can. I will be sure to let everyone know how many we are able to save. If you want to help us you can send me a message. We need foster homes and FURever homes.

03/19/2012

Happy Monday everybody! Joshua here with an update from the weekend and to let everyone know how I am doing. Things were busy as usual and a lot of things happened over the weekend.

New homes were found for two of my friends in the rescue on Saturday at PetSmart. Another one is going to her new home tomorrow. It is so cool so many of my friends are finding homes!

While Ms. Liz was at PetSmart she signed me up for puppy classes! Mr. Bill and I have our first class with Ms. Sharon on Wednesday night. She told Ms. Liz to tell me to take it slow so that we don't make Mr. Bill look bad. They are worried about him not learning what to do. I hope I can teach him!

Yesterday Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz took me to PetSmart for the first time. It was COOL! That place is really big. They have so much stuff and so many wonderful smells. I can't wait to go back to start classes.

Also yesterday, one of my friends here tested positive with parvo. He didn't look or feel good at all. Ms. Liz started giving him medicine to help him feel better. Today me and Mr. Bill took him out to Ms. Pam's house. She is a really nice lady. She takes care of all the puppies that come down with Parvo. Mr. Bill says she is really good with sick pups. I got to play out in the yard with her dog Brady. He's a rescue, too. She got him last year from our rescue. We chased each other and wrestled and chased each other and wrestled some more. It was a lot of fun.

Mr. Bill also took 4 of the adult girls in to be treated for heartworms. He took them to the vet this morning, but, he didn't bring them home. He told me not to worry because they are spending the night at the vet's office and they will all be home tomorrow. I just hope they are all okay and not afraid there by themselves.

I will check back in later and let everyone know how all the pups and dogs are doing. And I'll let everyone know how my first class goes. I can't wait!

What a fun and exciting day today was! I got to go outside in the big yard and play with all the big dogs. It was so much fun! There were so many smells, so many things to do and so many things to see. I didn't know where to start. There were toys all over. And lots of grass. I really liked the grass. I liked laying in it and just feeling the warmth of the sunshine. Until I got too hot. Then it wasn't much fun anymore.
Mr. Bill took me for my first walk on a leash today. I don't know why HE thinks HE has to have me at the end of a long rope and drag me around wherever HE wants me to go when all he has to do is pick me up and carry me. It has been working fine that way for weeks. I have no idea whose brilliant idea it was to come with the whole leash thing, but, I would like to find out and bite their nose! When I am on the ground there are things I want to do, not just what he wants to do.
We had some volunteers come again tonight. It was Ms. Nicole and her cousin Danielle. They are really nice. Ms. Nicole said she is going to start coming every Friday to help out. She wants to bring her husband over to see Meka's babies. She really wants one of them. I think she would be a good puppy mommy.
Mr. Bill has finally started to feel better. But, tonight Ms. Liz starting feeling really bad and getting that same terrible smell about her that Mr. Bill has had all week. She told Mr. Bill it was all his fault and that he made her feel that way. He told her he likes to share. I don't really think he does. He wouldn't share any of his pizza with me tonight. Of course, that could be because Ms. Liz was home. Oops! I did it again! I'm not very good at this keeping secrets stuff.

Today Mr. Bill started feeling better. He let me watch the basketball games with him. He wants me to thank everyone for their prayers.

Ms. Liz went with the foster families to take the 8 basset hound puppies to see Dr Amat to get their microchips and report cards. They are going to PetSmart on Saturday to find their FUREVER homes. When Ms. Liz got home Mr. Bill reminded her that I need my 2nd vaccine. Mr. Bill made it sound so much fun. He said if I got my next vaccine, then tomorrow, I could go outside with Gretchen and play in the back yard. He didn’t tell me that Ms. Liz was going to stick me with a needle and squirt stuff up my nose. I wasn’t very happy with them at all.

I started “crate training” today. I told Ms. Liz that I really didn’t like to be locked up in the small crate when I had my own room upstairs. She told me I was becoming a big boy and I needed to learn how to sleep in my crate. I kept telling her I didn’t want to be in there. She didn’t believe me so I pottied in there. Ha ha ha. Mr. Bill came and rescued me and put me back in my room upstairs.
I WIN!!!!!!

Guess what!!! Ms. Liz told me that a really nice person told her that if she let me stay at the rescue to be the official mascot, she would sponsor me. Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz prayed and talked about it and Guess What????????? I get to stay and Mr. Bill and I get to stay buddies (as long as he doesn’t wash my face anymore) You know what else Mr. Bill and I get to do???? We get to start puppy classes on Wednesday at PetSmart. We are so excited. Ms. Sharon told Ms. Liz that she can’t wait to meet me. She will just love me. I am so loveable. This is going to be so much fun.

Good Night everyone.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven’t written in a few days. Things are really hoping (ha ha ha) here.

Mr. Bill & Ms. Liz’s son CJ came home Friday from college to spend the week with us. He is really cool. He told me that his school is by the beach and there are a lot of pretty girls there. Ms. Liz told us both that girls are nothing but trouble and neither of us need to worry about them right now. Shhh!!!! Don’t tell her but,…..She is a girl. Ha ha ha he he he ha ha. She is so silly.

On Saturday, Ms Mary had to take baby Faith to the vet because she was really sick. The doctor was really worried about her and told Ms Liz and Ms Mary that she may not live very much longer. Ms. Liz said we are going to do whatever it takes to help this little girl live. Ms. Liz had to put a needle in baby Faith’s back 2 times a day and a tube down her throat ever 3 hours to help her eat. Ms Liz let me see Baby Faith today. She is drinking her ba ba all by herself. She is so tiny and she smells funny. Ms. Liz says that she smells like puppy milk.

On Sunday, we just all relaxed. I got to watch the race with Mr. Bill
Monday, Tuesday and today were terrible. Mr. Bill is really sick. Ms Liz told him he has the people version of Parvo. He looks terrible. I hope he gets better soon.

Thank you to all of my friends, followers and supporters who have stepped forward and offered their assistance. Baths are very traumatizing. Mr. Bill and I have talked and worked things out. I have conceded that baths are necessary (it did make me smell better), but, NO face washing! I told Mr. Bill if he does that again I would call the SPCA, the Humane Society and Sarah McLachlan (I could listen to her sing all day! She is so much better than Mr. Bill!).

Yesterday my Aunt Susan came over. It was really nice to see her. She is such a nice lady. Mr. Bill also took me with him to go meet Miss Holly. She is runs another rescue called Tails of Hope. She was really nice. She brought some food for Meka and her puppies to eat. Mr. Bill gave her rabbitt treats.

Today Mr. Bill took me all over. We had to go see Miss Kim at the emergency vet again. She let me go in the cat room! The cats were really cool and fun to play with. They have some of the coolest toys, too. THey had this ball with a bell in it. It was fun to hold it in my mouth and shake my head really hard. Miss Kim and Mr. Bill laughed and laughed.

After we were done there we went to where Mr. Bill used to work. I got to see Miss Elizabeth and Miss Monica. I had an accident under Miss Monica's desk. They weren't real happy with me. I was really sorry. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go.

After that busy day, we had volunteers come to the house tonight. It was crazy! They cleaned puppy cages, walked some of the dogs and even gave my mom a bath! She didn't like her bath much either, but, she wasn't nearly as dramatic about it either. She is going to PetsMart tomorrow to find a new home. I hope they find her a really special home with really special people so she can be happy.

P.S.- Since Mr. Bill taught me about secrets I thought I would see if I am better at keeping one from him than Ms. Liz. When he wasn't looking I switched my de-shedding shampoo with his shampoo. He always says he is pulling his hair out. I hope this stops it.

HE TRIED TO KILL MEEEE!!! MR. BILL TRIED TO KILL ME!!! I can't believe it. After all we've been through together. I thought we were pals.HE'S A KILLER!!! A TRAINED KILLER!!!

I was on the bed and we were playing. He put his head down and I jumped on him and chewed on his ear like I always do. We were having fun. All of a sudden he got up and left the room. He came back and said it was time for a bath.

HE TRIED TO DROWN MEEE!!! He soaked me down with a hose in the bath tub. That was bad, but, not as bad as what followed that. He poured some stuff in his hand and then he rubbed it all over my fur. First, it got all white. But then, it started turning colors, like black and gray. He attacked me with the water hose again and it all disappeared. I was relieved it was gone until he said "You are really dirty. We need to wash you again!"

THEN HE DID IT TO ME AGAIN! But, this time was much worse. This is where he tried to kill me.

HE SRAYED WATER IN MY FACE, THEN RUBBED IT AND MADE MY FACE TURN WHITE, TOO!!! Then he sprayed it all with water again and it all went away. Then, if all that wasn't enough, he grabbed this big cloth and he tried to make all my fur fall off! He rubbed and rubbed and rubbed. I didn't think he was ever going to stop! Finally, I think he got tired and he did stop.

After all this was done, he took me down to the kitchen so I could play with Gretchen. I thought that she would be understanding and supportive. Boy, was I wrong. I told her what happened and everything Mr. Bill did to me and she looked right at me and said "Sorry about your bad luck, runt". I couldn't believe it!

Somebody needs to get me out of there before Mr. Bill decides to give me another bath and gets Gretchen to help. I won't stand a chance!

3/4/2012

Hello Everyone! It has been a very busy few days here at the puppy rescue. Everybody has been running. I will try to get everyone caught up. I told Ms. Liz she really needs to teach me how to type so I can just do this myself. She tried. Not having a thumb makes things really hard sometimes! Anyway, let me tell you about our week.

Thursday I got to go back and visit the Daisy troop that made all the get well cards for me. It was a lot of fun seeing them. Mr. Bill brought a folding pen that he set up and all the kids got inside it. Then he put me in with them and I got to run all over and play with them all. We all had so much fun! My tongue got tired after a while because I gave so many kisses!

Friday I went back to the vet and got the staples removed from my shoulder. It was really, really hard to do, but, I laid really still for them while they took them out. The vet said my shoulder looks really good and that I don't have any restrictions (I don't think I ever really had any!). They told Mr. Bill that I am growing like a weed! On the way home Mr. Bill got hungry so he stopped at a guy named Donald's house and got a happy meal. He ate most of it, but, he did give me some fries and pieces of apple. They were sooo good! They made us both happy. I think that's why they call it a happy meal.

Saturday I got to play with my friend Gretchen and I got to play with Dusty. He is a golden retriever. Mr. Bill said he is really old. He sure doesn't act it! Every time I tried to chew on his ears he laid on my head! I am so glad Gretchen doesn't do that! Ms. Liz said I get to get a bath this week. I think it sounds like fun! I will let you all know how fun it is.

2/29/2012

Hi Everyone! I am so excited! Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz have been so busy today. Mr. Bill drove all the way back to the Lincolnton Animal Shelter (the same one me and my mom and my litter mates all came from) today and he saved 12 more puppies. He was only supposed to bring back 6, but, he said he just couldn't leave all those puppies there. He said that if we can find more foster homes, he will go back there on Friday to pick up more. Remember when I told you yesterday that Ms. Liz was going to call Ms. Erica to see when I could go see the Daisy Scouts again..... Well Ms. Liz told me that we are going to go see the Daisy's tomorrowwwwwwww. I am sooo excited! I can’t wait to show them how good I am doing and I also can't wait to thank them all for the letters they sent me. They are all so nice!

SHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get loud when I get excited. Ms. Liz says it is past my bed time so good night.
Oh, yeah, if you want to send me a letter you can send it to me at:
KCCPR - Joshua
P. O. Box 1571
Harrisburg, NC 28075

Paws and Licks to everyone.

Mr. Bill let me watch the race last night. How exciting! Those guys can really drive fast. I'm really glad Mr. Bill doesn't drive that fast! The wreck with the jet drier was really scary. I fell asleep sometime while they were cleaning up the mess and when I woke up it was over. I was so bummed!

Mr. Bill took me to see our friends at the Y today. His old boss that had knee surgery two weeks ago is still on crutches! I told her she should tell the doctor to just remove it, like my leg, and she would be running all over the place in no time just like me! She just laughed and told me I am silly.

Tonight when Mr. Bill & Ms. Liz got home from their Small Group with their friends from church, they told me I got mail. They showed me the letters from Daisy Troop 2389. The girls sent me great letters and told me how much they love me. I was so excited. Ms. Liz was so excited she cried. I can't wait to go back and see them again. I got to see them before my surgery and I really want to go back and show them how good I am doing. I can't wait to meet the girls that were not their that night. Ms. Liz told me she would call Ms. Erica to find out when I can go back. Ms. Liz said it will have to be after I get my staples out so hurry up and get here Friday so I can go play with the girls again.

For anyone who may not know- secrets are not nice things. I never knew Mr. Bill could get mad until Ms. Liz found out we were going to order pizza today and I was going to get some. She got so mad at him! Then he got mad at me and told me I am a "party-pooper". Boy, did I set him straight. I told him I am NOT and I could prove it. First, I told him that I ALWAYS go on my potty pads; then, I showed him! Then he got really confused. I think he forgot I am a dog because he called me a ham. Later, he had to go out for a little while, so he put up baby gates in the kitchen and left me and my friend Gretchen out to play while he was gone. When he got back the door mat for the back door was chewed up. Me and Gretchen tried to tell him we didn't do it; but, I don't think he believed us. He told Gretchen she wasn't setting a very good example. I just hope he lets me watch the race tonight.

2/26/2012

Hello everybody! With the exception of the race being rained out, it has been a really great weekend. Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz are amazing. They sent 8 of my friends to their new homes this weekend. In doing this, my mom and Tina the heartworm positive chihuahua are the only ones left in the rescue from when Mr. Bill saved a whole bunch of us from that really cold shelter. They have a lot of good friends and volunteers that work really hard for them. I am so proud of all of them. I got to play with my good friend Gretchen the german shepherd today. I love it when she lets me chew on her ears! My Aunt Susan came to visit today. She was really surprised at how quickly I have learned to get around on 3 legs. She also thinks that I am really cute and getting big! Boy, does she know good things when she sees them or what? Mr. Bill told me because the race got rained out today I can watch it with him in his recliner tomorrow. He also said that if I can keep a secret from Ms. Liz we will order pizza for lunch and I can have the crust! I don't know what a secret is, but, I bet if I told Ms. Liz she would be happy for us!

2/24/2012

HELLO EVERYBODY!!! What a week this has been. In case you haven't all heard, my surgery was a great success! I never thought it would actually be easier to get around on only 3 legs. My deformed leg doesn't get in my way and make me fall anymore. I didn't realize that was happening to me until it was gone! Now that I don't have it, I think I'm really, really special because now Ms. Liz tells me I am a pistol, just like Mr. Bill. The doctor told them that I need to be kept calm and quiet for a few days. That doctor doesn't know me. Mr. Bill says that trying to keep me quiet is like trying to stop Niagara Falls. Whatever that means.. Now that it's easier, all I want to do is go, go, go. I have to go back to the doctor next week and get the staples out of my shoulder. There 12 of them. Mr. Bill told me there are lots of people that have made donations to help pay for my surgery and that I need to thank them. To everybody who donated - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! It is so wonderful to be able to get around so good! Thank you!

Today was the biggest day in young Joshua's life. Today is the day he had his deformed front leg removed. The surgery was a success and went without complications. The leg was removed at the shoulder, so there is no evidence there ever was a leg. There are 13 staples closing the incision that will need to be removed in 10 days. He is on antibiotics and pain medication. We are doing what we can to keep him comfortable. He is young, strong and feisty. He has already begun learning how to balance himself on three legs. At this time he is expected to make a full recovery and lead a normal life.
To everyone who has been following Joshua's story- we thank you for sharing in the journey with this special and loving little guy. To all those that donated to Joshua's chip in fund- we thank you for making this journey possible. We would not have been able to do this without all of your generosity. We will do what we can to keep Joshua comfortable and resting over the next few days so that he can heal properly. We will update his progress daily and we hope that he can return soon and update everyone himself.
Thank you to all and God Bless.

Sunday was so much fun! First, I got to meet my Aunt Susan. She knew my mommy was still at the shelter when Mr. Bill rescued me and my littermates. She called and told him to go back and get her - and he did! I was so happy when I found out he got my mommy, too. She stays at Ms. Jaclyn's house. I also got to watch my first basketball game. Mr. Bill was so funny. He kept yelling at the TV: "GO ORANGE!!!" Then we watched the rest of qualifying for the big race next week. It's not quite as much fun when there is only one car at a time on the track. But, the guy who drives the 24 car (I think Mr. Bill said his name is Jeff Gordon) didn't try to drive on his roof again. That was so silly when he did that in the race the other night. After dinner, Mr. Bill let me play with his german shepherd Gretchen. She is really big. We had a lot of fun playing together. She was really gentle and she let me bite her ears! I hope I can play with her again soon. Maybe after my surgery tomorrow.

Telling Auntie Susan all about it

2/18/2012
Hello everyone! Sorry about the absence, but, poor Mr. Bill has been sick and has been unable to take me any place the last couple of days. To make up for it he let me watch my first NASCAR race with him. It was COOL!!! Those guys are really good drivers, real crazy drivers, or a lot of both. I don't know why that 24 car thought he could go faster on his roof. That was just nuts! Mr. Bill was pretty excited when that happened. He also said the 48 car was the best looking car on the track with all it's dents. I just thought that it was all really exciting. I hope they have races like that every day so I can watch! My surgery is Tuesday, so please pray for me.

Yesterday was Valentine's Day and boy was is it fun. The day started with Mr. Bill taking me to the Y to see one of his old bosses. She had to go in for surgery on her knee today. She must have been really scared because she held me really tight and cuddled me. I tried to tell her everything would be fine by licking her nose a lot. She laughed and said I was just too cute!
In the afternoon we went to Camp Bow Wow. What a cool place! There were so many people and other dogs there. Everyone was so friendly. There were dogs of all sizes and they were all friendly, too! Mr. Bill says its a place where the big dogs get to go and play all day. I can't wait til I'm a big dog and I can go there and play all day!
Yesterday's adventures made me tired. I slept all night and most of the day today. Mr. Bill said we may go visiting again tomorrow. I can't wait to see where we go this time!

Boy, what a weekend. Mr. Bill and Ms. Liz sure were busy. They found new homes for 3 of my friends on Saturday and another one on Sunday. Then one of my friends got really sick Saturday night and they had to take him to the 24 hour weekend vet. They were gone all night. They got home and went to bed when the sun was coming up! When they finally woke up Mr. Bill said they slept too long and they were late for something. Well, I did some thinking and I decided I would help them this morning. Today is Monday and Ms. Liz had to go to work. I made sure she didn't sleep too long again. I woke up at 6:20 and barked and barked and barked! I think I did a good job because Mr. Bill told me I was being a pistol. I think that means I'm special! I am so special that Mr. Bill took me out of my small playpen and gave me my own room- the bathroom! I have lots of room to run around now. Mr. Bill says tomorrow we are going to go visit someone that has to have surgery. He wants to take me so I can let them know they will be all right and they don't need to be scared. I will let you all know how it goes.

Hi everyone. I am doing good today. Guess what, Ms. Pam called and told us that my friends Abbott & Costello were playing. They are my friends who have the parvo. Please continue to pray that they continue to get better.

2/9/2012
Mr Bill and I went to the Emergency Vet Clinic to bring them sometowels. I met a really nice lady named Kim, she thought I wasreally cute. Then Mr. Bill took me to Home Depot. I have never seen so many people inone place. There were so many thing to see. Then we went to the YMCA in Concord. I met Ms. Heather who said shereally wanted to take me home to play with her girls. Mr. Bill brought me back home for a nap. When Ms. Liz got home we went to go meet the Daisy Scouts. The girls were really nice and I had a lot of fun playing with them.

2/8/2012
Today I slept a lot. My cold is really making me feel yucky. Hopefully I will feel up to writing more tomorrow. Please pray I start feeling better.

Thanks, Joshua

2/7/2012 update
Yesterday Mr. Bill and I went and saw the doctor. They checked me out and said that with my cold and because I am so little they want to wait 2 more weeks for my surgery, so I am scheduled to have surgery on February 21st. The doctor gave Mr. Bill some medicine to put on my leg and told me to take my antibiotic even though it tastes yucky.

Mr. Bill has been worried about my friends Abbott & Costello. Abbott didn't feel very good and when Ms. Liz got home she did something called a parvo test. She said t was a strong positive so they took them to the emergency vet. I am sure glad I haven't been around them because Ms. Liz says it is very contagious. Everyone got home very late from the emergency vet and Abbott & Costello are going to go to Ms. Pams house until they get better. Ms Pam has treated puppies with Parvo before so that is a good place for them to go. Plese pray for my friends.

Have a great day today. Love Joshua

Today Mr Bill and I were playing and my sore leg started to bleed all over the place. We have no idea what happened, we weren't even playing rough or anything, it just started to bleed. Then it started hurting really bad. I I cried and cried and cried. Mr. Bill tried to make me feel better, but nothing was working until he turned on the TV. There was this funny person singing and dancing around and I really liked the music they were playing. When they were done, Mr Bill told me that it was Van Halen and David Lee Roth. He was really funny. It made me stop thinking about the pain in my leg. Later, Mr. Bill told me that i would be going to see the doctor tomorrow to find out what we need to make my leg better. Me and Mr Bill are a little nervous about my leg. Mr. Bill says he thinks I will have to have surgery. I am not sure what the means but it doesn't sound like very much fun. I just hope it makes my leg stop hurting. We will know if I will need surgery, when it will be and how much it will cost. We will also find out what else the doctor thinks I will need to do. I don't want Mr Bill to know this, but I am really scared. Please pray for me tomorrow.

Today is Sunday. Mr. Bill & Ms. Liz took care of all the dogs and puppies and left for church. While they were gone, I decided I didn’t like this bandage on me anymore so I took it off. Ms. Liz laughed at me and called me a little stinker. I didn’t think I smelled that bad. She took me downstairs to show Mr. Bill, he also laughed at me. They carried me around the house then I got really sleep so they took me upstairs and let me take a nap in my pack-n-play. I got to watch the Super Bowl today with Mr. Bill. It was fun to watch my favorite part was the music and all the flashing lights. It was really neat. Well, Ms. Liz said it is time to go to bed now so I have to say good night. Please continue praying for all of us and the puppies. God Bless! Paws & Licks

Cuddling with my Monkey

2/4/2012
Today is Saturday. I am not feeling very well today. I cried a lot, not because I missed everyone so much but because my leg hurt really bad. I also have a runny nose. Mr. Bill & Mrs. Liz took me to the Emergency Clinic. The pretty Doctor checked me out and told me how cute I was and how sweet I was and played with me for a little while. Mr. Bill told me they had to clean my leg and put a bandage on it so that I wouldn’t hurt it any more. My sweet nurse weighed me I weigh 3.73lbs. She took my temperature, I didn’t like that at all, then she cleaned my leg up and then she wrapped it. It is a really cool color purple. The only problem with the wrap is that I fall over more. They said something about me getting use to this so when I have the surgery or something. I didn’t really understand. Mrs. Liz asked if she should give me anything because of the pain. They gave me some medicine that tastes really yucky. I just hope it makes the pain in my leg go away. I’m very sleepy now, so I am going to go to sleep, good night. Thank you everyone for praying for me please keep the prayers coming. Talk to you later.

I am not very happy that they put this wrap on me

Today is Friday, Mr. Bill told me that he was going to go back to the shelter and pick up my mommy. He said she would be okay and that one of the other foster parents in his rescue is going to take really good care of her. I am so relieved. Today is going to be a great day. Please keep praying for mommy, the other puppies and please pray for my leg.

Last night - 2/2/2012
Last night was a long night for everyone. I cried all night long. I was so scared and lonely. It was my first night in the "rescue". It is great place but I really missed my brothers and sisters and my mommy. My foster Parents Mr. Bill & Ms. Liz Kreitzer did everything they could do to soothe me but I didn't understand what was going on. They held me and talked to me. They set up a big bed called a Pack-N-Play at the foot of their bed for me and I still cried. They rocked me and snuggled me tight in a blanket, they even put me in their big bed but I just continued to scream for my siblings, and I was really worried about mommy. Was she still at the shelter? What would happen to her? Would someone rescue her? Finally I fell asleep.

Thursday, 2/2/2012
Today, Mr. Bill from Kreitzer's Critter Corral Puppy Rescue came to the shelter. He looked around at all the dogs and puppies. I remembered hearing his voice yesterday and the shelter people saying that he had rescued 7 puppies on Tuesday and 14 puppies yesterday. Today, he took me, my 4 siblings and 14 other puppies out of the shelter. We drove all over the place. Each place we stopped, Mr. Bill took some of the puppies out and they stayed with the nice people at the other "rescue" groups. On the last stop, I was confused and scared. Mr. Bill took my brothers and sisters out and left me in the crate. I began to cry. He told me that I would be okay, that I was going to his rescue and would have a great life. Tonight is my first night away from my brother and sisters. I am really scared and confused.

Taken away from mommy 2/1/2012
Wednesday, February 1st was a really hard day for our family. For some reason, we were taken away from our mommy today. We don't know why, we don't know where she is and we are very scared. We miss our mommy.
